Gretchens is full of everything for cooking and baking. Whether a veteran in the kitchen or simply playin’ around, you’ll find what you need inside this one-of-a-kind store. Often referred to as the “hardware store for kitchens,” Grechens carries more than just the necessities. Stimulating, inspiring and just plain fun!

Gretchens Kitchen is owned by Donna Toepfer and managed by Jama Hiltz. The two, accompanied by a handful of dedicated team members, have kept the store full of new and exciting products since their doors opened in 1997.

Let’s just say you’ll want to buy another kitchen just to stock it with these amazing gizmos and gadgets: pots, pans, skillets, International cutlery, citrus juicers, electric fondue machines, waffle makers, slow cookers, food dehydrators, deep fryers, bowls, linens, storage and decorative jars, kitchen cleaning supplies, canning accessories, herb keepers, prep bowls … one could go forever, but perhaps you should just check it out for yourselves.

When employees were asked what their favorite part of Gretchens Kitchen was, the majority vote went to the cooking classes and wine tastings. It’s a way to bring the Skagit Valley communities together to eat good food, learn new techniques and meet like-minded individuals.
