Embarking on a custom home build comes with so many questions, considerations, and decisions, it can seem as daunting as climbing Mount Everest. To help demystify the process, we investigated four outstanding local projects—two Pacific Northwest Contemporaries, a Scandinavian Contemporary, and a Mountain Modern, all in Whatcom County—by speaking to the homeowners and their design and build teams.
