Pacific Northwest fans of HGTV’s popular “Fixer to Fabulous” will recognize some familiar faces on an episode from last December.
Longtime Whatcom County business Barron Heating AC Electrical & Plumbing appeared on an emotional episode of Dave and Jenny Marrs’ home renovation show to install solar panels on a cozy lakeside cabin near Bentonville, Arkansas. The Marrses purchased the derelict cabin for $5,000 and transformed it into a dreamy, sustainable oasis thanks in part to the work of Solar by Barron, a division of Barron, which has installed hundreds of solar energy systems on houses in Northwest Washington.

For the show, Brad Barron, CEO of Barron, and Tim West from Solar by Barron traveled to northwestern Arkansas to meet with the Marrs family. In addition to the cabin, they also installed solar panels on the family’s barn.
“Working with Dave and Jenny Marrs was an absolute privilege,” Barron says. “They care deeply about the families they’re serving and they’re incredibly intentional about how each home functions long after the episode airs. That aligns perfectly with how we think about comfort and energy at Solar by Barron—we’re not just installing equipment, we’re helping design homes that are more resilient, efficient, and sustainable for years to come.”
