What is your favorite thing to take pictures of?
My favorite subjects are in the sky: stars, comets, eclipses, the sun and moon. But being a night sky photographer in the cloudiest city in the continental United States can be challenging, so I also spend a significant time photographing wildlife.
What do you do when you aren’t taking photos?
I work as a real estate broker for the Satushek Team at Keller Williams, and I own and direct Core Kinetics, a Pilates and movement education studio, here in Bellingham. I am fortunate to have two amazing, fun jobs!
What is your favorite spot to photograph?
There are amazing places to explore off of the Mount Baker Highway. With a Discover Pass, we all have access to some breathtaking DNR land. I enjoy taking my old SUV (nicknamed The Adventuremobile) up old logging roads.

“This photo of a young bald eagle was taken near the Nooksack River. Hundreds of eagles come to feed on these inland waters every winter, coinciding with the annual chum salmon run. Surrounded by dozens of competing gulls and eagles, this eagle’s decision to eat in place or drag the carcass out to feed had come. Ultimately, the eagle decided to fly back up into the trees after a brief meal.”
