Bellingham’s Cosmic Games is gearing up for a huge expansion! They’re moving from their 4,500-square-foot location on the Guide Meridian to a 12,000-square-foot space at Bellis Fair Mall.

Cosmic Games is a staple for local gamers and collectors, thanks to their packed inventory and expertise with trading card games like Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon, video games across platforms, roleplaying and table top games, and related toys, apparel, and accessories. This upcoming expansion could help them become a gaming destination for folks near and far.

In addition to doubling their retail floor space and expanding their product lines, Owner Adam Scholtz says they’ll be building in custom rooms and play space. With seating for 128, they’ll be able to host D&D sessions, trading card bouts, and more. They’ll also build a warehouse in the back and expand their repair services, adding phones and tablets to their current gaming console and computer repairs.

Scholtz says the move is possible not only because they have the inventory to support it, but also thanks to the mall’s change in direction. Since coming under new ownership in Dec. 2022, Bellis Fair has focused on bringing in local businesses and community-minded organizations.
Although the new store could open later this year, Scholtz says the most likely opening date is Jan. 1. 3930 Meridian St., Ste. 101, 360.306.8015, cosmicbham.com
