Dana Roberts represents a generation of mature women painters whose works personify a small and quieter world.
For Dana abstract painting occurs outside and beyond words. A color suggests itself; a shape appears. An emotion is felt. The painting responds and shift, and this does not end until the painting has a sort of bounce. With this jump, the painting bridges the threshold from an inanimate object to a dynamic object.
