Blessings of the Waters: From Glacier to Sea Exhibit showcases Bellingham photographer James K. Papp’s stunning black and white images. From the Cascade Mountains to the Puget Sound, water is the connector between residents, tribes, farmers, fishers, municipalities, and industries, as well as nature’s flora and fauna. Informed by James K. Papp’s 40 years working in marine shipping and by countless hikes along the streams, lakes, and snowfields of the Evergreen State, this work highlights the increasing pressure on our precious water. We are called upon to care for and show gratitude to our shared waters in a deeper, even spiritual way for the benefit of generations to come.
