Planting Seeds of Friendship throughout our Community
Birchwood Garden Club’s November 1, 2023 Meeting
November topic: “Managing Slugs.”
The November 1 meeting of the Birchwood Garden Club will be held in the Rotunda Room of the Old City Hall Museum, 121 Prospect Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. Doors open at 6:30 P.M.
Our speaker will be Diana Wisen, a Skagit County WSU Extension Master Gardener. Her presentation, “Midnight Marauders, Managing Those Pesky Slugs and Snails,” will help you slug it out with slugs in your garden.
Although slug season is winding down, anytime is a good time to make plans for, and do something about controlling them.
In addition to being the local slug expert, Diana is coordinator of the Fuchsia Garden at the Discovery Garden on SR 536 in Mount Vernon, WA.
