Experience nature’s awakening in beautiful La Conner, as the town welcomes the season of renewal with the 12th Annual Daffodil Festival. Skagit County produces more daffodil bulbs than any other county in the United States, and for the entire month of March, the town invites visitors to explore 500 acres of daffodils as they put forth their buds and face the shining sun.

Presenting a plethora of picturesque walking, driving, and biking routes, the festival is the perfect getaway for a romantic retreat or a family adventure.

A consistent fan favorite is the Dandy Daffodil Tweed Ride, which encourages attendees to dress up in their best 1920s-style cycling attire and join a dandy bicycle jaunt through the scenic daffodil fields. The trek will commence at the La Conner Swinomish Library, include a charming picnic stop at Christianson’s Nursery & Greenhouse, and wrap up at Firehall Kitchen & Taphouse in La Conner. Don’t want your furry friend to miss out on the action? No problem! The Daffodil Pet Parade is yet another can’t-miss event.

Be sure to bring your camera and book your stay ahead of time, as March is a busy month in little La Conner. Whether you’re interested in a quaint countryside cabin or a cozy crashpad with waterfront views, this historic haven has just what the doctor ordered.
