The Whale Museum is holding a “Winter Birding Workshop in the San Juans” in partnership with San Juan Islands Audubon. Taking place the weekend of February 7-9, 2020, the intent is to increase birding skills through field trips and presentations.
This workshop is ideal for those wishing to continue their education as a naturalist or for those who simply love birds! In this course, participants will have great opportunities to learn about identifying birds in their winter plumage, groups, and species of birds, their needs, behaviors, & habitats, as well as migration and population patterns via hands-on field experience and classroom learning. Tuition is $150 for Museum/SSAMN members/Orca Adopters or $175 for non-members. Registration is available at The Whale Museum (open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.) or via the website, https://whalemuseum.org/products/winter-birding.
