Composer, trumpeter, and educator Boshnack leads this quintet as well as the ensembles B’shnorkestra and Seismic Belt, and is an active member and contributing composer to several other ensembles. She is part of Seattle’s Monktail Creative Music Concern, has toured nationally and internationally and has released five albums, of mostly her compositions.“Boshnack is in possession of an acerbic wit and an encyclopedic knowledge of all sorts of music from bargain-bin to top shelf.” (The New York City Jazz Record)
