Easter Celebration

April 16 @ 11:00 am - April 17 @ 1:30 pm

Activities and entertainment for the entire family will be featured April 16-17 during the Easter Celebration at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Live music, tractor train rides through the orchard and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny – all free – will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17. Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian, within seven miles of Bellingham, Ferndale and Lynden.

“It’s a wonderful time to enjoy nature’s beauty,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms. “The buds are forming on our apple trees and we may see blossoms on some of them, all with Mt. Baker as a majestic backdrop.”

Rosin & Reed, a duo of Kera-Lynne Newman and Jan Peters, will perform Irish/Celtic and American music with fiddle, guitar and harmonica from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. both days.

Children 12 and younger can earn prizes on a scavenger hunt along the Bunny Trail ($5 admission fee per child) while adults may prefer cocktails and farm-made spirits in the distillery’s tasting room. And everyone can enjoy tossing bags in a friendly game of cornhole.

Food options include the full menu at the Ten Mile Cafe, plus kettle corn and made-from-scratch cider donuts. A special addition for this weekend will be plant starts for anyone wishing to bring a splash of spring home with them.
