2018 Science and Engineering Fair:
You still have time to register and join in the fun. Last day to register is Monday, March 4th. Pick up a project board from the Lower School or Markell Hall and start assembling your display. Not sure what to do? Collections or Demonstrations are a great way to get started. Check out the science fair website for more information about our project categories, registration forms, and more.
Thanks for all you have done already! Here are a few ways that you can still help:
Sign up to be a volunteer judge – we need former teachers, medical professionals, scientists, engineers, mathematicians, inventors, and makers to interview participants and evaluate projects. Training and lunch are included! Click HERE to apply now.
Volunteer for tasks leading up to and during the fair.
Ms. Miller will be supervising open studio times for students to work on their project boards. Extra parent support and supervision is appreciated.
We’ll need a few hands to help with set-up and registration on Friday, March 8th, and clean-up after the fair on March 9th.
We’re seeking one or two volunteers to host our judge’s hospitality room during the fair. Set up food & beverages for breakfast and lunch, be available during breakfast and lunch to chat with volunteer judges and answer questions about the school. All food and supplies are provided, we just need some friendly parent ambassadors to serve as hosts.
See our volunteer sign up HERE for details and job descriptions.
Help spread the word about the fair to all of your friends in Whatcom County! Become an ambassador for the fair in your neighborhood! Share our WEBSITE and FACEBOOK page with your friends, family members, and co-workers. With your help, we can make this the must-attend STEM-focused event in Whatcom County!
Help your student create an unforgettable project and register for the fair! There’s no better way to show your enthusiasm for STEM learning than participating in the fair.
Plan to attend Open Viewing session at the Fair, from approximately 1:45 – 2:45 pm on Saturday, March 9th. Stroll through the exhibit hall and view the incredible projects produced by our local students.
Thank you for your support, and please contact the planning team with your questions at sciencefair@sp-academy.org.
