Aquatic invasive species are notoriously a problem here in the Pacific Northwest. Thus, again this year, inspections for all boats launching in Lake Whatcom and Lake Samish are mandatory. This includes the non-motorized variety as well. Inspection stations will open in both locations on April 25th in hopes that these preventive measures will help keep our native species thriving! Boat inspectors will teach boat owners how to properly drain and clean your watercraft after use.

There will also be an info session at Bloedel Donovan Gymnasium tomorrow, April 15 from 6:30–7:30 p.m.
