SUMMARY:AudaTours Bellingham Audio Tour: Echoes of Ambition and Architectural Gems
DESCRIPTION:Rain once fell sideways on Bellingham’s streets as political rivals traded jabs and secrets echoed off stone and steel. This city hides more than meets the eye-its corners remember duels of visionaries\, hushed scandals\, and legends all but lost. \nUnlock the story of Bellingham with a self-guided audio tour designed for curious wanderers. Each stop reveals the drama behind the facades\, giving you access to tales that most visitors never hear. \nWho once vanished from the Flatiron Building after midnight\, sparking years of whispers? What rare artifact was stashed beneath the Bellingham Public Library’s quiet floors? Why do seagulls gather by the waterfront each spring\, ignoring every human attempt to drive them away? \nFollow twisting streets and waterfront breezes to uncover rebellion\, ambition and forgotten moments. In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century\, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly\, a charming cowboy\, and Laurey\, a feisty farm girl\, to play out their love story. Their romantic journey\, as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road\, contrasts with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker in a musical adventure embracing hope\, determination and the promise of a new land.

SUMMARY:Birchwood Garden Club's March 4th Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Birchwood Garden Club \nEstablished 1931-Bellingham\, Washington\nPlanting Seeds of Friendship throughout our Community \nMarch Topic:\nGardening for Fragrance with Diana Wisen \nThe March 4\, 2026 meeting of the Birchwood Garden Club will be held in the Rotunda Room of the Old City Hall Museum\, 121 Prospect St.\, Bellingham\, WA 98225. Doors open at 6:30 PM. \nThe speaker will be Diana Wisen\, a WSU Extension Master\nGardener since 1991\, speaking on Gardening for Fragrance. \nSometimes we forget to consider scent when we select plants for our gardens. Fragrance can bring an added dimension to the color and texture of our garden beds. Neuroscientists consider the sense of smell to be important to our enjoyment of life because it enhances our experience of taste\, can trigger memories\, and can change our mood and emotions. Diana will introduce us to many plants\, which can add scent to our gardens. At the end of her talk\, she will provide us with a\nlist of plants – trees\, shrubs\, herbs\, flowers\, all kinds of plants – to which we can refer to bring scent into our gardens. Please join us! \nBirchwood Garden Club membership is open to anyone in Whatcom or Skagit Counties. You are invited to join us at our monthly meetings where we will have membership brochures to join. Check out our website\, www.birchwoodgardenclub.org to see the fun activities and community services our club does! You can also join us on Instagram and Facebook @ Birchwood Garden Club.
