Bringing traditional arts closer to home with a contemporary twist\, visitors can explore the world of basketry through an assortment of intriguing functional and decorative baskets woven from materials found in our own Cascadian bioregion. \nOpening Event! Participants can take part in various activities including simulated cow milking\, safe and fun simulated bull rides\, riding real horses\, roping barrel steers\, and other fun opportunities meant to include all participants regardless of their ability levels. Participants will take home a free Rascal Rodeo T-shirt\, handkerchief and buckle belt. Most importantly\, they leave with a sense of achievement and lots of excitement for next year’s Rodeo! \nAny participant that pre-registers will receive a free admissions ticket to the NW Washington Fair for themselves and one care provider. Visitors will also experience Lori VanEtta’s vibrant acrylic abstracts that breathe life into every space\, and Marjie Miller’s encaustic pieces created using an ancient Greek technique of fused\, melted wax.
