SUMMARY:THE SEA
DESCRIPTION:Kuntz and Company presents DOCUMENTING GRACE – a film series showcasing the work of dance artists going beyond the stage. The first film in the 2025/26 season is THE SEA\, created by Douglas Rosenberg. The Sea traces the imprints of aging on body and soul\, weaving a poetic dance of time and movement as it explores men’s evolving relationships with solitude\, intimacy\, and community. The Sea is a black-and-white feature filmed entirely on location along the Baltic Sea. Drawing inspiration from the evocative landscapes of Ingmar Bergman’s Fårö Island\, the film explores aging and the intimate relationships between men in their later years. Featuring a cast of predominantly untrained performers from the Fårö area\, The Sea reflects on camaraderie and the ways life’s experiences leave their marks on our bodies\, expressed through movement and the passage of time. November 2nd @ 3:00\, The Firehouse Arts and Events Center @ 1314 Harris Avenue in Fairhaven. For accommodations and information contact Pam @ kuntzpam@gmail.com or 360-510-4711. SUMMARY:Blessings of the Waters - James K. Papp Photography Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Blessings of the Waters: From Glacier to Sea Exhibit showcases Bellingham photographer James K. Papp’s stunning black and white images. From the Cascade Mountains to the Puget Sound\, water is the connector between residents\, tribes\, farmers\, fishers\, municipalities\, and industries\, as well as nature’s flora and fauna. Informed by James K. Papp’s 40 years working in marine shipping and by countless hikes along the streams\, lakes\, and snowfields of the Evergreen State\, this work highlights the increasing pressure on our precious water. We are called upon to care for and show gratitude to our shared waters in a deeper\, even spiritual way for the benefit of generations to come.\nJansen Art Center\, 321 Front Street\, Lynden\, WA\nOctober 16\, 2025 to January 9\, 2026\nTuesdays through Saturdays\n9:30a.m. to 5p.m.\nhttps://www.inquirewithin.com/press-releases-2025/\nlisa@inquirewithin.com
