Today\, it is up to Khannia Ok\, her protégé\, to transmit this knowledge to a new generation of Cambodian-Americans\, especially young girls\, who grew up far from their roots. \nBLIND DANCER – We follow Lisa a blind librarian (Oslo) as she travels to dance with Europe’s only professional blind dancer\, Said Gharbi\, (Brussels). The two of them meet and make a duet over two weeks and on the last night they dance through the city of Brussels. \nFROM THERE TO HERE – The film follows the women who lead Kolkata Sanved: a nonprofit in Kolkata\, India\, that uses dance as a means to help survivors of human trafficking\, domestic violence\, and other forms of abuse\, “release trauma\, develop confidence\, and identify their own potentials as human beings—rather than as victims.”
