SUMMARY:David Wilcox in concert
DESCRIPTION:When: July 22\nTime: 8pm\nTix: $34.30 (ticket link)\nAges: all ages \nThere are songwriters who chronicle life\, and then there’s David Wilcox—an artist who metabolizes it. He has long been a quiet force in American folk music; a musician’s musician\, a writer’s writer\, and a seeker whose gift lies in making the personal feel universal. \nWith the release of The Way I Tell the Story (August 2025)\, Wilcox proves\, yet again\, that resilience isn’t just a survival skill—it’s an art form. The record shimmers with musical sophistication but leaves just enough space for the listener to feel what Wilcox has always done best: tell the truth\, gently but without apology.

SUMMARY:Double Rainbow Doubleweave Workshop with Jennifer Moore
DESCRIPTION:3-day workshop with Jennifer Moore \nThursday – Saturday\, July 30 – August 1\, 2026 \n9:00 AM – 5: PM \n2 Layers\, 4 or 8 Shafts\, 6 Colors – Endless possibilities! \nDiscover the magic of color in weaving with internationally renowned fiber artist Jennifer Moore in this immersive and inspiring doubleweave workshop. Often described as the ultimate color sampler\, this class invites weavers to explore the dazzling possibilities of layered cloth\, shifting color\, and optical illusion. \nBefore the workshop\, students will prepare a warp using Jennifer’s unique system for arranging multiple colors in rotational sequence. Once at the loom\, a simple two-layered doubleweave structure opens the door to extraordinary results as colors interact\, overlap\, and move past one another to create luminous iridescence\, moiré effects\, and endlessly surprising visual mixtures. \nThroughout the workshop\, students will experiment with a variety of structures including warp rep\, warp-faced twills\, and other single-layer techniques that reveal the incredible versatility of this warp design. Weavers working on eight shafts with two blocks will also have the opportunity to explore dynamic block combinations and expansive pattern possibilities. \nIn addition to hands-on weaving\, Jennifer will present a comprehensive lecture on block doubleweave design\, giving students practical tools and creative strategies for designing their own doubleweave patterns on any shaft configuration. \nWhether you are drawn to bold color exploration\, complex structure\, or the thrill of discovering unexpected effects in cloth\, this workshop offers a rich and inspiring deep dive into the art of doubleweave. Leave with a remarkable sampler\, a stronger understanding of color theory and optical mixing in weaving\, and countless ideas for future projects.

SUMMARY:Emulsion Transfer Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Emulsion transfers give an artist another process of putting ink on paper and creating a unique print. We will work from digital files printed onto an emulsion dual film in either color or black and white as you choose. This is not the old hand sanitizer process you may have played with\, but a workflow and materials that allow you scale and creative choices. We will be able to use most types of papers to do this from watercolor to exotic washi. \nThis is a two day course with an open day in between to allow adequate drying time. Day 1 will be preparing images to transfer and paper preparation. Day 2 will be making prints. The day in between\, 7/31/26\, is free. \nThis process doesn’t require specialized equipment so it’s a process that you can take home and use.
