DESCRIPTION:Blaine Community Theater is very proud to present “MISERY” as the opener for our 2023-2024 season\, directed by Nick McDonald and adapted to the stage from the classic Stephen King novel by the award-winning author William Goldman. \nAuthor Paul Sheldon has wrecked his car in the wilderness of Colorado during a fearsome winter storm. Luckily for him\, his biggest fan\, nurse Annie Wilkes discovered him and is working diligently to restore him to full health. But as the two get to know each other\, Annie learns that Paul’s writing is moving in a different direction\, one that displeases her. Stuck in a compromising position and reliant on an angry fan\, Paul now must figure out how to escape with his art–and his life–intact. \nTickets run $12 to $17.
