DESCRIPTION:Activities and entertainment for the entire family will be featured April 16-17 during the Easter Celebration at Whatcom County’s Bellewood Farms & Distillery. \nLive music\, tractor train rides through the orchard and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny – all free – will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday\, April 16\, and Sunday\, April 17. Bellewood Farms is located at 6140 Guide Meridian\, within seven miles of Bellingham\, Ferndale and Lynden. \n“It’s a wonderful time to enjoy nature’s beauty\,” said Eric Abel\, president of Bellewood Farms. “The buds are forming on our apple trees and we may see blossoms on some of them\, all with Mt. Baker as a majestic backdrop.” \nRosin & Reed\, a duo of Kera-Lynne Newman and Jan Peters\, will perform Irish/Celtic and American music with fiddle\, guitar and harmonica from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. both days. \nChildren 12 and younger can earn prizes on a scavenger hunt along the Bunny Trail ($5 admission fee per child) while adults may prefer cocktails and farm-made spirits in the distillery’s tasting room. And everyone can enjoy tossing bags in a friendly game of cornhole. \nFood options include the full menu at the Ten Mile Cafe\, plus kettle corn and made-from-scratch cider donuts. SUMMARY:Dirty Dan Murder Mystery
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our second annual Dirty Dan* Mystery Weekend – The Case of the Crushed Clown! \nREGISTER HERE\n“It is with grievance beyond words that I must announce today\, April 23\, that we found the missing clown underneath a bale of hay on Harris Avenue.” announced Mayor Wilson. Thus begins the quest to find the murderer their motive and their method. Read the newspaper from front to back. You’ll also be given a map with locations where you can pick up printed clues to help you solve the mystery. All of the clue locations and the scene of the crime are within a half mile of Fairhaven Village Green. The suspect photos will be in the “Fairhaven Observer”. As you walk around the village collecting your clues\, you will encounter some of the suspects (i.e. characters) described in the newspaper. You never know who might have valuable information which will help you solve the mystery. But can you trust them all? Hmmmm\, the real “criminal” is out there and they have every reason to lead you in the wrong direction! When you think you have figured out who and how\, enter your solution on the official ballot. \nPlace your completed form in one of the designated ballot boxes. Correct ballot solutions will be placed in a drawing for Grand Prizes ranging from Weekend Getaways and Merchant Gift Certificates to Dirty Dan Mystery Memorabilia. \nRegistration before April 15 – $15/person or $25/family-group.
