April’s Topic: “Discover Modern Daylilies”
Marilyn Glenn will be our featured speaker.
Marilyn is a WSU trained Master Gardener. The Whatcom County Master Gardener Foundation appointed her to be the Operations Garden Manager for the Hovander Homestead Park Demonstration Gardens in 2022. Marilyn and her husband, Steve, have a four season ornamental garden in Bellingham. Their garden was featured as a tour garden by the Whatcom Horticultural Society in 2017 and is an official display garden for the American Daylily Society. Come learn about the diversity of daylily bloom size and forms, bloom time, colors and markings that are now available to gardeners. Also, find out where you can view daylilies in Whatcom County and get a preview of daylilies that will be sold online by the Master Gardener Foundation of Whatcom County in late April.
If you think daylilies start and stop with what you see growing alongside the road, you’re in for a big surprise. Please join us and bring along a friend to enjoy this most informative program!
